Thomas C. Ward of Kittanning, formerly of Natrona Heights passed away on Saturday July 10, 2024, after years of battling a number of debilitating illnesses. Thomas was born Dec. 13, 1946, the son of the late Marlin W. and Naomi E. (Milliron) Ward. He was a graduate of Har-Brack High School class of 1964 and also from Forbes Road East Auto Diesel Technology. Thomas retired from ATI Brackenridge Works where he worked in many different departments and made many life-long friends during his 45-plus-year tenure. His true passion was blacksmithing, and he was one of the last journeymen to learn his trade at then Allegheny Ludlum. Thomas and his wife of 47 years had no children, they spent much of their time traveling the world and supporting many charities both with their time and money. Survivors include his brother Barry L. (Paula) Ward and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol J. (Beers) Ward; four brothers, Clifford M., Mark A., Kent L., and Paige M. Ward. As per the final wishes of Mr. Ward there will be no public viewing. A private memorial event will be held for the family at a later date and time. Arrangements are under the care of the SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME in Kittanning.
