It’s the final weekend before Halloween! Between throwing together last-minute costumes and scrounging for a halfway decent pumpkin, we all have big plans.

Just in case you want to scare up something else to do, here are some fun ideas.

Row House of Horrors

Row House Cinema in Lawrenceville takes this time of year seriously — they will be playing a slate of classic and modern horror films throughout the weekend.

There are showtimes on Friday and Saturday for “The Exorcist,” “Halloween,” “Child’s Play” and “Halloween III: Season of the Witch.”

If you’re not so into scares — or want something for kids — there are also showings of “Addams Family Values” and “Hocus Pocus.”

Row House Cinema is located on Butler Street and tickets are available online. See the full slate at rowhousecinemas.com.

Ghosted: Tales from Carson Street

City Theatre presents this hauntingly fun evening at its venue on Pittsburgh’s South Side. A hilarious and shocking array of tales awaits during this 75-minute program, with cocktails/mocktails, music and all the Halloween fun you can handle.

Performances will be held Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., and if you can’t make it to either of those times, the show will continue through Nov. 2.

Guests should be aware of some adult language and scary tales. Get in the spirit and grab your tickets at citytheatrecompany.org.

“Wig Out” Halloween Gala

Young Adult Survivors United is throwing a big Halloween bash on Friday night — it’s the return of Wig Out! Attendees are encouraged to wear outrageous wigs and costumes for this celebration of young adult cancer survivors (age 18-45), their loved ones and caregivers.

The party will be held at Rivers Casino and feature music from TJ the DJ, a buffet, raffles, local vendors and a performance by the Pittsburgh Samba Group. There will also be a contest for Best Wig.

There will also be a dedication to the cancer survivors who are present, a tradition that celebrates YASU and its many members.

The event will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. at Rivers Casino on Pittsburgh’s North Shore. Tickets are $75 each. To get ready to “wig out,” visit yasurvivors.org.

Disney on Ice presents ‘Frozen’ and ‘Encanto’

Watch as characters from Disney films “Frozen” and “Encanto” twirl, dance and glide at PPG Paints Arena. With music, amazing acrobatics, special effects and a celebration of each person’s unique gifts, this show will please kids of all ages. The show’s first act will feature the world of “Frozen” while act two will explore “Encanto.”

Shows will be held all weekend, with two shows on Friday and three each on Saturday and Sunday. Character experiences are also available for purchase. All children above the age of 2 require tickets, and kids can wear costumes — as long as they’re under 14.

Comedian Lucas Zelnick at Bottlerocket

Lucas Zelnick is a Manhattan-based comedian who made it big on TikTok and is bringing his irreverent humor and hilarious crowd interactions to Pittsburgh.

Audiences will get two chances to see Zelnick perform, on Friday and Saturday with an 8 p.m. show both days. Get tickets at bottlerocketpgh.com.
