Most of the contact will be on the field this season at Acrisure Stadium.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are making sure fans don’t miss a play by announcing Wednesday they’ve remodeled Grab and Go locations and added more Walk-Thru spots where guests can take advantage of a no-contact checkout: They can get what they want to eat or drink, scan their credit or debit card and head back to their seat.

The first home game is Sept. 22, when the Steelers host the Los Angeles Chargers at 1 p.m.

The Steelers open the season with back-to-back away games this Sunday at Atlanta and Sept. 15 at Denver.

“We listened to feedback from season ticket holders and game day attendees last season and implemented a series of game day enhancements based on that input,” said Ryan Huzjak, Steelers vice president of sales and marketing.

That input included less waiting in line. One of the newest Tenders Love & Chicken locations will offer the convenience of a walk-thru market in the FedEx Great Hall.

Two new Steel City Classics walk-thru market locations are in sections 124 and 146, and a new West End Bridge Grill walk-thru market in section 527 will sell chicken tenders, fries, hot dogs and pretzels at a scan-and-go kiosk.

There will be an additional Caliente Pizza & Draft House spot and hot dogs, beer brats and spicy sausages will be for sale at the new Bridge’s N’at near sections 507 and 529.

An improved Bud Light Deck now includes a bar, new seating configuration and a second deck for better views. New premium field seating has been added adjacent to the south scoreboard, end zone and tunnel. Ticket holders for the on-the-grass seats have access to a lounge as well as the PNC Champions Club.

Technology improvements will be recognized in the latest version of the Steelers mobile app, which will have stadium details on parking and the clear-bag policy. ChargeFuze Stations are located throughout the stadium to keep smartphones charged.

All North Shore parking will be cashless, as will the 50-50 raffle at home games.

A Three Rivers Stadium display underwent a makeover. Located in the West Main Concourse, it features lockers of former Steelers, including Hall of Famers Joe Greene, Franco Harris and Bill Dudley. The Hall of Honor Museum features a Hope Harvey Sculptures Display. A changing exhibit commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Steelers’ first Super Bowl victory, Super Bowl IX.

The Pro Shop is introducing a new in-suite ordering platform that allows fans sitting in a suite to choose from up to 20 items that they can order and pay for on their phone until halftime. Merchandise will be delivered to their suite.
