Beverly Lenhart Smith, 82, of Salisbury, Md., passed away Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024, at TidalHealth in Salisbury. Born Dec. 5, 1941, in Westmoreland County, she was the daughter of the late Alice and Ralph Lenhart. She graduated in 1959 from Ligonier High School, moving to Salisbury, Md., in 1966. Beverly was a hairdresser for years and cherished her relationships with many customers who became good friends. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Gerald R. Smith, who she married in 1966; and their son, Matt Smith and his wife, Nikki. Matt and his wife, Nikki, blessed them with nine grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Other survivors are sister, Loretta Gaffney (Tom), in Lancaster, N.Y.; and brothers, Harry (Thelma) and Ed (Roxanne), in Pennsylvania; also, many loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sister, Charlotte Zurick; and brothers, Harrison, Harold and Don. Beverly was a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, where friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service. The Very Rev.
