Ronald L. Rohm, 84, of West Newton, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, June 23, 2024. Born in Isabella, on July 31, 1939, he was the son of the late Paul J. and Beryl (Abbott) Rohm. Ronald was a retired Engineer from the CSX Railroad and was a member of the First Baptist Church in West Newton, where he served as Deacon. He was a former member of the West Newton Lions Club. Ronald loved to do jigsaw puzzles and to play hand and foot card games with his family. He enjoyed fishing and going on fishing trips to Canada with his best friend, Bruce. Ronald enjoyed working in his shed and his woodshop and specialized in making hundreds of crosses, which he gave to people all over the United States. Ronald was a kind and thoughtful man who touched many, many people in his lifetime. He was a loving husband and wonderful father. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife, Carole (Stevens) Rohm; and daughters, Kathy Rohm and Patricia Rohm. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Rohm and Charles Rohm. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday in the JAMES C.
