Central Catholic rising senior cornerback Zachary Gleason called an audible Thursday, switching his commitment from Penn State to West Virginia, according to Rivals.

The three-star defensive back originally committed to the Nittany Lions in March. He visited WVU on May 29.
He holds 30 scholarship offers, including Boston College, California, Cincinnati, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan State, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Pitt, Rutgers, SMU, Stanford, Syracuse, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin, among others.
Gleason (6-0, 170) had 45 tackles, including five for loss, as well as three interceptions, 10 pass breakups and a forced fumble last season. He also returned an interception for a touchdown and was named first-team all-conference in Class 6A for the back-to-back WPIAL champion and PIAA runner-up Vikings.
As a sophomore, Gleason made 27 tackles and had two interceptions.
He is ranked the No. 20 player in the state by 247Sports composite and the No. 75 cornerback nationally.
Three of his Central Catholic teammates have also committed to Division I FBS schools — offensive linemen James Halter (Notre Dame), Jon Sassic (Penn State) and Jimmy Kalis (Ohio State).
