Thomas W Stanish, 82, of New Stanton, passed away on Wednesday February 28, 2024. He was born on January 1, 1942, in Trauger, the son of the late Michael and Madelyn (Flanagan) Stanish-Ohler. Thomas retired, after many years, as an operating engineer for Golden Triangle Construction. He enjoyed spending his time camping with his wife, Carolyn, at the Scottyland Campground in Rockwood. Thomas also loved going on bus trips to casinos. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn (Smith) Stanish; his children, Thomas M. Stanish, and his wife, Lee Ann, of Greensburg, Anna M. McGill, and her husband, Raymond, of Greensburg, Lynn A. Ross, and her husband, John, of Youngwood, and Michael P. Stanish, of Mt. Pleasant; his grandchildren, Heather, Holly, Marissa, Laura, Lily, Dylan, Theodore, and Brooke; and his great grandchildren, Jackson and Max. Thomas is also survived by his sister, Patricia Krydick, and her husband, Charles, of Latrobe and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, March 3rd, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th Street, Youngwood. A funeral service will be held the following day, on Monday, March 4th, at 11 a.m., in the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Harrold Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
