Lyn Marie Stouffer, 55, of Ligonier, passed away peacefully, in her home, surrounded by loved ones, on Friday, August 30, 2024. She was born May 1, 1969, in Ligonier, a daughter of Louis J. and Connie McMullen Vucina. Lyn was a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church of Ligonier, was a graduate of Ligonier Valley High School, and was on the first girls track team. She enjoyed her job at Barb's Country Store in Rector and helping out at Champion Lakes. Many of her enjoyments came from vacationing at the Outer Banks, boating on her sons boat, baking pumpkin gobs, watching hummingbirds, wildlife, and going places with her family. She was known for always signing off with a smiley face. She is survived by her parents; her husband, Gary Lee Stouffer, whom she married Sept. 2, 1989; her two sons, Alan Stouffer (Courtney) of Derry and Alex Stouffer (Ariana) of Latrobe; two sisters, Lorie "Sue" McCrary ( Richard "Mack") of Greensburg, Indiana and Lu Ann Geisey of Franklin, PA; a sister-in-law, Debbie Stouffer of Ligonier; and two brother-in-laws, George E. Stouffer (Peggy) of Ligonier and David Stouffer (Kathy) of Ligonier; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lyn was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Vucina. Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, in the MCCABE FUNERALHOME, 144 East Main St., Ligonier. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Thursday, at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, with Father Anthony Carbone as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
