Theresa Jean (Vesco) Svetkovich, 93, of Greensburg, died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024, in the St. Anne Home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 01, 1931, in Lower Burrell, a daughter of the late Anthony and Caroline Dotto Vesco. Jean was a teacher in the Hempfield Area School District for 42 years. Her teaching career began at Fort Allen, then Hannastown, and retired from Bovard Elementary School. She had a knack for remembering her students and each one of them was special. Along with her husband, she was also the owner and operator of the former Vesco's and Marchello Juliano's. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree. Jean was very welcoming to everyone she came across and no matter where she went, she always ran into someone she knew and had to stop to talk. Her love for family was everything to her, especially her love for her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, George V. Svetkovich; an infant daughter, Brenda; a grandson, Matthew M. Bielick; and her sister, Domenica 'Minnie' Vesco. She is survived by her daughter, ToniAnn Bielick (Merle) of Greensburg; a granddaughter, Nikki Bielick Edgar (Matt) of TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to her favorites at St. Anne Home for the care and friendship they gave her.
