On Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024, Barbara Rose (Mohney) (Hanusek) Kuhn went to sleep in the arms of the Lord after a life well lived! She waited to celebrate her 96th birthday with her beloved family and dear friends. She was born in Cleveland, OH to the late Kenneth and Rose (Sistek) Mohney on Sept. 14, 1928. Her glass was always half full and she always saw the good in all around her. A smile for everyone she met, Barbara always graced people with her tender heart and positive spirit. She will be so deeply missed by her beloved children, Linda M. Joseph (Brett), and Gary M. Hanusek, both of Youngwood, PA; sister-in-law, Florence Mohney; and several nieces and nephews, including special niece Sandy Koliscak. Also, she is survived by her foster daughter who never forgot her, Irene Kranitz, and special friend Becky Ciglar. Barbara was preceded in death by two husbands, Bernard 'Pete' S. Hanusek, and James M. Kuhn; her parents, Kenneth, and Rose Mohney; siblings, Janet Pinskey, and Kenneth 'Pete' Mohney; daughter-in-law, Mary Hanusek, and countless friends. The family would like to thank the team at Redstone Highlands and Redstone Hospice for their exceptional care of Barbara.
