Mary Louise (Detore) Danks, 88, of Greensburg, died Friday, Sept. 6, 2024, in UPMC Mercy Hospital. She was born Sept. 30, 1935, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Anthony 'Tony' and Lucy (Cepullio) Detore. Prior to retirement, she had worked many years for the Water Authority of Westmoreland County. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Greensburg. In her free time, Mary enjoyed golfing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Danks; and three brothers, Camillo, Anthony, and Richard Detore. She is survived by her brother, Vince Detore and wife Monica; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton St., Greensburg. Prayers will begin at 9:00 a.m,. Wednesday, in the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.
