Lori L. Janiro-Garlits, 67, of Greensburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, in Greensburg, PA. She was born Aug. 6, 1957, in Greensburg, PA. Daughter of the late James A. and Kathryn L. (Wolfe) Boyle. She graduated from Hempfield High School Class of 1975 and then attended and received her BS in Criminal Justice from Duquesne University. Lori worked as a parole officer out of college, obtained her private investigator license, worked at her father's business, Security Unlimited, and worked from home, running background checks for many businesses while being with her children. She then went on to work at Point Security. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and grand dogs. They were her life. She loved selflessly and unconditionally. She never missed a single 'I love you, bud', 'I love you, hunny', no matter the situation. Lori loved to spend her free time cooking and baking, mastering crossword puzzles, watching Lifetime movies, and reading. One of her favorite authors was Lisa Scottoline. Her favorite holiday was Halloween. She took strong pride in her Irish heritage and celebrated many Irish practices. She enjoyed annual family vacations with her children. They had trips to camp, SeaWorld, train tours, Aruba, and Ocean City, MD. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing racquetball and ice skating and was a model during high school. She was preceded in death by both parents; brother, James A. Boyle Jr.; and ex-husband, William B. Janiro. She is survived by son, Bradley (Hannah) Janiro of Greensburg, PA; daughter, Kaley Janiro of Madison, PA; grandchildren, Arianna, Bentley, Vienna, Emelinna, Jaxon, Jameson, Ravennah, and Julion; husband, John Garlits of Greensburg, PA; and furbabies, Izzy and Church. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., on Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, at the BEATTY-RICH FUNERAL HOME, INC., Route 136, Madison, PA, Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2024, at the funeral home, with Rev. Robert Green officiating.
