Donald Temple Sr., born on May 19, 1942, in Brownsville, PA, passed away peacefully, on Thurs., Sept. 26, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl "Red" Temple and Ruth (Starr) Temple; and his sister, Shirley Temple Viencek. Donald is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Jane (Rarick) Temple; his son, Donald Lee Temple, Jr. (Amber); and his stepdaughter, Kimberley (Opielowski) Paull (Robbie). He cherished his role as a grandfather to Ian, Paige and Lexi Temple. He is also survived by his niece, Tamara Burnsworth (Paul Kessler); and grandnephew, Paul Braden Kessler, Jr. A proud Army veteran, Donald graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from both Penn State and Carnegie Tech. His professional journey took him through esteemed companies such as Dravo Corporation, Aker Kvaerner, R.T. Patterson, Siemens and CSD Engineering, where he traveled extensively across the nation and internationally for various projects. In his personal life, Donald found joy in golfing, playing ping pong and taking meticulous care of his yard and cars. He was a devoted supporter of all his grandchildren's activities, always cheering them on with enthusiasm and pride. Traveling through this country and various oldies cruises rounded out many good times. Donald Temple, Sr. will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his work and his zest for life. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
