Rick A. Bennett, 67, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully in his sister's care, on Thursday, July 18, 2024. Born February 14,1 957 in New Kensington, he was the son of the late Clifford J and Louise O. (Akos) Bennett. Rick was a self-employed, mechanically and electrically inclined hands-on Mr. Fix-it. If it had a motor, the ability to carry power, water or had the ability to create horsepower, Rick had the talent to fix it. His favorite activity was working on anything that he could repair and make run. He enjoyed keeping his mind working and hands busy. In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his beloved dog, Gretchen and cats, Bad Boy and Hemingway. He is survived by sisters, Roxanne (Dave) Bennett McMillan of Bath, NY and Cynthia (Chuck) Wylie of Ford City; longtime companion, Marie Fasano of Leechburg; and many friends. As per the family's wishes, all immediate services were private. Donations may be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
