Penn Hills School Board members unanimously approved a five-year contract with Krise Transportation at their meeting Wednesday night.

The renewed contract will begin next school year and last until the spring of 2029 with rates increasing each year — starting at about $407 per bus, per day, and ending at about $475 in 2029.

The company is under contract to provide all transportation — including buses, vans, bus monitors and handicapped services for Penn Hills students, including charter, parochial and nonpublic students, who can show proof of Penn Hills residency.

Krise has been contracted by Penn Hills for about 10 years.
