Aubrey Lynn Mooney (DiBella), 44, lifelong resident of Mt. Lebanon, passed away on May 2, 2024. Aubrey was born on February 23, 1980, to Terri Lynn and Richard William DiBella. She grew up in a loving home in Mt. Lebanon, with her siblings, Juliet Marie, Richard Hamilton, and Amy Elizabeth. Aubrey attended Duquesne University, where she was on the soccer team, studied early childhood education, and discovered her love of travel. She is survived by Michael Xavier Mooney, her husband of over eighteen years. Together, they grew a full family, including her pride and joy, her children, Kathleen Ann, Liam Xavier, and Mary Alice, as well as hamsters and their chocolate labs, Walter and Earl. Aubrey is also survived by her loving in-laws, Anne and Paul Mooney and Kevin (Kristen), Tom (Erin) and Rosey (Chris) Kipp. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Aubrey cherished her time working at St. Paul's Episcopal Nursery School, the nursery school she and much of her family attended. There, she found great joy in building friendships with coworkers and creating an environment for growth through play for the children. Aubrey's proudest achievement was her children. She also applied her impressive talents and kindness in all that she did, managing Habitat Solutions, Inc., alongside her husband, running (Columbus Marathon, for instance), and teaching classes at her church, St. Thomas Moore. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Aubrey's charities of choice: The Wetlands Institute (wetlandsinstitute.org, 1075 Stone Harbor Blvd., Stone Harbor, NJ 08247) and Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children (dillerblindhome.org, P.O. Box 338, Avalon, NJ 08202). Visitation will take place from 12 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 10 at LAUGHLIN CREMATION AND FUNERAL TRIBUTES, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, at Resurrection Parish, St. Thomas More Church, 126 Fort Couch Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15241.
