Manor Trunk or Treat

The Manor Borough recreation board and police department will host a trunk or treat and pet parade on Oct. 19.

The event will run 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Norwin Elks Building, located at 135 Elks Lane. Participants and their pets are invited to wear costumes.

Symphony East Performance

Musicians from Duquesne University’s Mary Pappert School of Music will perform Oct. 21 in Salem.

The performance will start at 1 p.m. at The Lamplighter, located 6566 William Penn Highway. Admission costs $10. Reservations are not required.

Bad Art Night

Penn Area Library will host a Bad Art Night for children on Oct. 24.

The event is open to children ages 8 to 12. It will take place at 5 p.m. at the library, located at 2001 Municipal Court. Participants will use recycled items to create art.

Halloween Bingo

Tails of Hope Animal Rescue will host a Halloween bingo event on Oct. 25 in Trafford.

The event will take place 7 to 10 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. It will be held at the Trafford Borough building, located at 414 Brinton Ave. Basket auctions, a 50/50 raffle, food, beverages and Jello-O shots will be available, and a costume contest will be held.

Chili Cook-Off

The Trafford Economic and Community Development Corp. will host a chili cook-off on Nov. 2 at the borough building.

The inaugural event will run 2 to 5 p.m. in the borough building’s Manchester Room, located at 414 Brinton Ave. The winner of the event will win a cash prize.

Tasting tickets will be sold at the door.

Association of University People Meeting

The Association of University People is hosting a dinner Nov. 7 in Monroeville.

Holiday Craft and Vendor Show

Trinity United Methodist Church in Trafford will host a holiday craft and vendor show on Nov. 9.

The show will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church, located at 407 Duquesne Avenue. It will feature holiday gifts and decor, handmade crafts and a bake sale.

There will also be a concession stand.

Rocco’s Warriors Bingo

Rocco’s Warriors, a Penn Township-based group that supports children with cancer, will host a bingo fundraiser on Nov. 9 at Boyce Park in Plum.

The event will kickoff at 11 a.m. at the Four Seasons Lodge, located at 901 Centerview Drive. A ticket includes mimosas, light brunch, coffee, dessert and 20 bingo games. A 50/50 and basket raffles will also be available.

Rocco’s Warriors was formed about five years ago to support Rocco Monteleone, a then-two-year-old boy battling acute Myeloid leukemia. He died in March 2019, but the group continues to raise money for families facing a pediatric cancer diagnosis.
