Those interested in purchasing season passes, student flex (10-game) passes or individual game tickets for all Penn-Trafford varsity home games can do so online through GoFan, which is located on ptwarriors.org.

Football tickets are $7 per game and field hockey, soccer and volleyball matches are $6 for adults and $3 for students.

Tickets are also available at the gate and at high school lunch periods at the athletic office.

Warriors hold off Norwin

Ben Grabowski rushed for 188 yards and three touchdowns, and Penn-Trafford defeated Norwin, 34-31, in the season opener.

Norwin turned the ball over five times, including one on the goal line in the final minute.

Landyn Stikkel scored on a 33-yard run and quarterback Nate Desmond tossed a 33-yard touchdown to Reese Radocay, who knocked the ball free from Norwin quarterback Tristyn Tavares.

Tennis opens with win

The Warriors opened the season with a 5-0 victory against Armstrong in Section 1-3A action on Aug. 21. The Warriors dropped a 3-2 nonsection decision to Altoona.

They were scheduled to play Norwin on Aug. 28, Kiski Area on Sept. 2, Hempfield on Sept. 4, Latrobe on Sept. 8 and Franklin Regional on Sept. 19.

Section singles are slated for Sept. 10-11 at Franklin Regional.

Golfers get going

The Penn-Trafford girls golf team has won two of its past four matches after starting the season 0-3.

The Warriors defeated Gateway, 197-253, and Connellsville, 202-232.

The boys team is 4-4 and is coming of a 189-190 victory against Norwin. It was their second consecutive close match. They defeated Hempfield, 217-218.

Tough loss

The boys team dropped a hard-fought 3-2 decision to Franklin Regional after opening the season with a 3-0 win against Hempfield.

The girls squad is 0-2 and looking for its first win of the season. The Warriors lost 2-0 to Peters Township and 4-0 to Upper St. Clair.
