Richard William Leonard, of Penn Township, died tragically Saturday, June 3, 2023, as a result of an accident. He was born July 25, 1991, in Greensburg. Richard is survived by his parents, Carl William Leonard and Christine Marie (Rowe) Leonard, of Jeannette; his sister, Kelly Nicole Leonard, of Tampa, Fla.; his uncles, Alan (Karen) Leonard, Glen (Betty) Leonard, Dallas (Chrystal) Leonard, Brian (Laurie) Leonard and Roger (Shirlane) Leonard; a nephew; and two nieces, cousins and dear friends. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Keystone. Richard was preceded in death by his best friend, Justin Werner, by his cousin, William G. Leonard II; his aunts, Marianne "Sidney" Rowe and Bernadette (Simbaniti) Rowe; and his grandparents, William and Margaret Leonard and Rita Lois Grace and Richard Russel Rowe. He was a graduate of Penn-Trafford High School and Central Westmoreland Career and Technology Center, then later worked as a journeyman foreman for Schultheis Electric in Latrobe. Richard was a member of IBEW Local 5 in Pittsburgh. He was a free-spirit and loved his friends and family. He would do anything for anyone. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the LINDSAY-JOBE FUNERAL HOME INC., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, where a funeral will commence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, 300 N. Main St., Greensburg, PA 15601. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery-Denmark Manor.
