Pine celebrated the beginning of the festive season with the township’s annual Holiday Dazzle on Nov. 16.
This year’s event at the Pine Community Center boasted carriage rides, ice sculptures, live performances, and a Christmas tree lighting.
“The 2024 Holiday Dazzle was our biggest year to date. From community attendance, vendors, food trucks, and fireworks, we had a fantastic opening to the holiday season in Pine,” Audrey Mackie, who chairs the township board of supervisors, said.
Kids had the chance to meet Santa and his reindeer, take train rides and play in inflatable attractions. There were crafts and activities available in the Pine branch of the Northern Tier Regional Library.
Holiday Dazzle also featured food trucks: Aviva Brick Oven, Arners, Bates and Hayes, PGH Crepes, and Urban Trail Coffee.
Families had the chance to show off their gingerbread-decorating skills with a house contest held during the event. Voting continues through Dec. 16 at the community center. The winner of the contest will be announced on Pine township’s social media.
The evening concluded with a dazzling fireworks display.
“Township staff always knock these events out of the park. As a parent, myself, it was a wonderfully special evening with my family, and I always look forward to these special events hosted by the Township of Pine,” Mackie said.
