Nancy J. Williams Clark, 85, of Ligonier, passed away peacefully Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024, with her loving husband, daughter and three nieces at her side at Concordia at Bethlen, Ligonier Gardens after suffering a severe stroke two years ago. She was born May 9, 1939, in Johnstown, a daughter of the late David and Jane Stewart Williams. She was a member of the Heritage Methodist Church in Ligonier, and had worked at various places prior to going back to school at the age of 30 to become a CNA. She had worked at Ligonier Gardens for over 12 years, and then private duty caring for families and individuals throughout the Ligonier Valley and surrounding areas before retiring three years ago. Her best role in her life was being a loving wife to her husband Bill, with whom they celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary this year. She will always be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Nancy loved cooking and baking for friends and family especially during holidays and Fort Ligonier Days when she would throw the best party in town, always making her famous Maple Twists and Gobs. She also enjoyed cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events and taking care of her most recent little cat, LV. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Judith Ann Lear; her brothers, David W., William A., and Thomas R. Williams. She is survived by her loving husband, William W. "Bill" Clark; her daughters, Tami Lynn Bimler of Litiz, PA, and Aimee Taggart (Richard) of New Florence; her son William S. "Beaver" Clark (Missy) of Homer City; grandchildren, Kelsie (Taggart) Karan (Jake), Ian Taggart, Cameron Clark (Morgan), Kirsten, Jana and Will Bimler; three great-grandchildren, special nieces and nephews, Betsy, Heather, AJ, David, Jack and Jane. Friends will be received Monday, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the MCCABE FUNERAL HOME, 144 East Main St., Ligonier. A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Heritage Methodist Church, Ligonier, with the Rev. Dr. Ron Geisler officiating. Interment will follow in the Laurel Hill Cemetery, Laughlintown. A tremendous thank you to Nancy"s hospice nurse Connie and her crew from Excela Hospice for the wonderful care they gave Nancy along with the caregivers at Ligonier Gardens Concordia at Bethlen.
