Michaele Quinn Landback, 76, of Montrose, CO, went to be with her Lord on April 26, 2024. She was born Oct. 13, 1947, in Pittsburgh, PA, to Thomas Barrett and Mary (Lynch) Quinn. Michaele spent her childhood at Starboard Light in Greensburg, PA, which is now the University of Pittsburgh. She graduated from Oldfields School in Sparks Glencoe, MD, and received her BA in psychology at CU, Boulder, CO. Michaele was married to Samuel F. Landback, which later ended in divorce. To this union, they had a son, Shawn Landback, whom resides in Montrose, CO. Michaele was an entrepreneur of several businesses, including dress designer in Detroit, MI, a boarding house and saloon owner in Basalt, CO, and a gift shop at the hot springs pool in Ouray, CO. Michaele was a member of the Westmoreland Hunt Pony Club in Greensburg, PA. She was an avid athlete and swimmer, enjoyed traveling, cooking, birds and plants. Most of all, she loved people. She is survived by her son, Shawn Landback of Montrose, CO; a sister, Mary Mooney of Dallas, TX; a niece, Catharine Smith; and a nephew, Marquis Smith, both of Greensburg, PA; also, many cousins and friends who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Barrett and Mary (Lynch) Quinn of Greensburg, PA; her brother, Charles Lynch Quinn of Basalt, CO; her sister, Sheila Quinn Smith of Greensburg, PA; and several aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as many friends.
