Malissa Sue Duvall (Dougherty), 50, of Natrona Heights, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, in Forbes Hospital, Monroeville. She was born June 15, 1973, in New Kensington, to Phillip and Beverly Miller Duvall, of Lower Burrell. Missy worked as a registered nurse for Allegheny Valley Hospital and was a member of Wesleyan Methodist Church, Lower Burrell. She enjoyed cooking, crafts, flower gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Michael Dougherty; five children, Ian, of Tarentum, Shane, Patrick, Garrett and Sarah Dougherty, all of Natrona Heights; grandchildren, Alexander and Abby Mangol; five siblings, the Rev. Phillip (Sharon) Duvall, of Craigsville, Chad (Christina) Duvall, of Ringold, Kirk (Sara) Duvall, of Parkston, S.D., and Justin and Matthew Duvall, both of Lower Burrell; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, the Rev. Harry and Ruth Miller and the Rev. Frederick and Elizabeth Duvall. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at THE RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder Street. Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wesleyan Methodist Church.
