Robert 'Bud' Augustine DeGuffroy, 66, of Addison, PA, formerly of Irwin, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024, in his home. Bud was born on Oct. 14, 1957, in Pittsburgh and is the son of the late Robert and Rhoda (Giordano) DeGuffroy. Bud built KGD Contracting from the ground up in 1993 with his wife Kathleen and worked side by side with his son Buddy. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local Union #66 since 1983, the Vice President of Castaways Yacht Club of Yough Lake in Addison, PA; the Sons of American Legion Post #260; and the American Legion Riders, a member of the St. Joe's Polish Club in Westmoreland City, an auxiliary member of VFW Post #7250, and a member of Turkeyfoot Fish and Game Club both of Confluence, PA. Bud loved spending time with his family, boating, fishing, and going on 'Buggy' rides. He also loved Harley rides with his wife Kathleen, traveling to Key West, and going on fishing charters with Tyson Vieth. Bud also loved cooking, canning, and supporting Special Olympics Pennsylvania and the Law Enforcement Torch Run. In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Fred and Marlene Garbin; and his sister-in-law, Charlotte (Garbin) Siefert. Bud is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kathleen (Garbin) DeGuffroy; his dog, Miss Harley girl; his children, Robert 'Buddy' (Amy) DeGuffroy and Pamela (wife Robyn) DeGuffroy; his grandchildren, Aidan, Ava, Austin, and Mac; his siblings, Augustine (Nancy) DeGuffroy and Denise Allshouse; his brother and sister-in-law, Mark (Amy) Garbin; brother-in-law, Tim Siefert; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday in the OTT FUNERAL HOME INC., 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin, 724-863-8900. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Bruce Judy officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery, Irwin.
