November’s four election victors officially joined Plum Council on Monday, Jan. 5.
Ryan Delaney, James McBride, Raymond Rall and Phoebus Apollo were sworn-in to their posts by District Judge Mike Doyle at the borough’s reorganization meeting.
The four were part of a Democratic slate that swept aside Republican incumbents Paul Dern, Steve Taylor, David Seitz and Vicky Roessler last year.
The new majority on council elected Delaney as its president and McBride the vice president. The two were the highest vote-getters in November.
Delaney previously told TribLive he’ll focus on creating spaces for locals to socialize and recreate and try to educate residents on local government processes.
McBride said he’s expecting a learning curve as he and his fellow Democrats take office, but he’s grateful for the support from voters.
The victors join incumbents Dave Majernik, Jerry Purcell and Steve Schlauch.
