Fishing games, corn dogs, a Ferris wheel and funnel cakes are just some of the things awaiting folks this weekend at Plum’s Summerfest in Larry Mills Park.

Festivities kicked off Thursday evening with the lights and sounds of family fun, including multiple games and rides throughout the borough park.

The layout is the same as last year with a carnival section and a food truck area. The Holiday Park Volunteer Fire Department brought its obstacle course.

Food trucks on-site Thursday evening included Let’s Taco, PGH Crepes, Kona Ice and Pittsburgh Smokehouse.

The carnival atmosphere and rides are provided by C&L Shows. The carnival section also has fried foods, cheese fries, chicken tenders and other festival fare.

Tickets for rides cost $4 each, while ride-all-day passes cost $25.

Summerfest continues Friday from 5 to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 4 to 10 p.m.

On-site parking is limited. There is free shuttle service from Amplify Church both days.

The three-day event concludes with a fireworks display Saturday night.
