Gloria A. Lash, 89, of Lowber, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2024. She was born April 10, 1934, in Lowber, a daughter of the late Albino and Helen (Wyner) Corso. Gloria retired from Sears, Roebuck and Co. after 38 years of service, where she started out selling shoes then advanced to being the top salesperson in the furniture department, a job which she truly loved. She was a member of the former St. Charles Borromeo Church, Sutersville, and its Christian Mothers; as well as the Lowber Ladies Auxiliary. An amazing cook, she loved to bake cookies, nut rolls and her chocolate and peanut butter fudge, which she shared with coworkers, family and friends. Surviving are three children, Terry Lash and wife, Arlene, Kathleen Obringer and husband, Jim, and Coleen Lawrenzi and husband, Jon; a daughter-in-law, Dienna Lash; grandchildren, Brooke Hanes and husband, Mark, Gianna Pirillo and husband, Justin, Amara Rocco and husband, Levi, Nathaniel Obringer and fiancee, Caroline, and Gino Lawrenzi; great-grandchildren, Enzo Pirillo, Vito Rocco, and Isabella and Victoria Hill; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Lash; son, Glenn Lash; grandson, John Michael Lash; and sister, Annette Lash.
