Marguerite Mary (Marietti) Mosovsky, 95, of Cheswick, passed away Sept. 17, 2024, at Concordia of Fox Chapel, in Cheswick. She was born Oct. 13, 1928, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to her parents, the late Joseph and Mary (Decroo) Marietti. Mrs. Mosovsky was a 1946 graduate of East Deer High School and a 1950 graduate of Indiana State Teachers College, now IUP. She was a teacher of business education at Dayton and Freeport High Schools before marrying Francis and becoming a stay-at-home mom to her four sons. Marguerite was an active member of the former St. Alphonsus Church in Springdale, where she was a lector, Eucharistic minister, member of the parish council and finance committee, as well as singing in the Resurrection Choir and CCD coordinator. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, playing cards, spending time with her family, and doing volunteer work. Surviving her are sons, David (Lynn), Richard (Marian), Alan (Virginia), and Thomas (Melinda) Mosovsky; seven grandchildren, Terry (Lindsay) Mosovsky, Megan (Kade) Grevas, Joseph (Brandi) Mosovsky, Casey Mosovsky, Justin, Jaron, and Janelle Mosovsky. Great-granddaughters, Seraphina and Gianna Grevas and Margot Mosovsky; Step-grandchildren, Shawnta and Erika; sister-in-law, Laura Jean Marietti; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Francis Mosovsky; four brothers, Peter, Joseph, Leo, and Leon Marietti; and sisters-in-law, Anita, Stella, and Lois. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 801 Pgh. St. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, in Blessed Sacrament/Guardian Angel Parish, Natrona Heights, with burial to follow in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery.
