Leon M. Miles, 99, of Greensburg, died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024, in Redstone Highlands, Greensburg. He was born Nov. 27, 1924, in Mount Carmel. Leon was a proud Navy veteran, serving during World War II. Prior to retirement, he had worked as a carbide engineer and metallurgist. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Bertha (Strocko) Miles; his second wife, Ellie (Klingler) Miles; his son, Lee Miles; and his step-grandson, Matthew. He is survived by his children, Kathy Davis and husband, Mike, of Texas, Judith Miles-Bean and husband, David, of Oregon, and Jeffrey Miles and wife, Karen, of Greensburg; six grandchildren, Lori (Pete), Jennifer, Kristina (Chase), Sarah, Jason, and Joshua; numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A visitation was held Wednesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton St., Greensburg, followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg. Interment took place in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery with full military honors accorded by the VFW Post No. 33, Greensburg Honor Guard.
