Homer Ronald 'Pete' Goodlin, 91, of Greensburg, died, Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024, at his home. He was born in Greensburg on Sept. 2, 1933, a son of the late Homer Wible Goodlin and Harriett Fink Goodlin. Pete was a member of St. John's Harrold Reformed Church of Christ. He was a veteran and served in the Army during the Korean War. Prior to retirement, Pete was a truck driver for the Teamsters. He was a farmer and enjoyed gardening and hunting. Homer loved sitting on his back porch, riding his quad, and driving his old Ford tractor. He also enjoyed attending festivals and going for ice cream. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Moriarty Goodlin, and his second wife, Carol Ann Goodlin; also, his brother, Dennis Goodlin. Pete is survived by his children, Ron Goodlin (Amy), Bill Goodlin (Carol), Yolanda Grippo (John Kerlicker) and David Goodlin (Stacey); his brother, Darrell Goodlin (Alice) and sister, Nancy Baker; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; step-sons, Matthew Loveridge (Connie) and Mark Loveridge (Roseanne); also, several nieces and nephews. Pete was loved by his children and grandchildren and he loved them just as much. A memorial service for Pete will be held at noon on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024, in St. John's Harrold Reformed United Church of Christ, 103 St. Johns Road, Greensburg, PA 15601. Military honors accorded by South Greensburg American Legion, Post 981 will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church at the above address.
