Pamela Rae Murphy, 79, of Ligonier, who left us too soon, sadly passed on May 18, 2024. Born on Feb. 13, 1945, to Park and Grace Monticue. Pam attended Ligonier High School and earned her associates degree from Robert Morris University. She retired from St. Vincent College, where she served as the office manager for the Prevention Projects program. Pam always had impeccable style and a remarkable green thumb. Pam is survived by her adoring husband, Terry Murphy, with whom she shared a devoted 58-year marriage; as well as her two children, Sean and Katie (O'Rourke). Her legacy lives on through her four grandchildren, Connor (fiance Meg) Murphy, Libby Murphy, Parker O'Rourke, and Brooks O'Rourke, who were the light of her life. Pam is also survived by her beloved sister, Peggy Leonard. To commemorate her beautiful life, a public viewing will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024, in her honor, at SNYDER-GREEN FUNERAL HOME in Ligonier, PA. We invite all who knew her to join us in remembering Pam at her funeral at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2024, held at St. Michael's of the Valley in Ligonier. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we take comfort in the beautiful memories Pam has left behind. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Ligonier Valley Historical Society, of which she was a member. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
