Victor K. Babinsack, Jr., 82, of New Kensington, died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born in Freeport on March 25, 1942, to the late Victor K. Babinsack, Sr., and Genevieve McGuire Babinsack Motosicky and has been a resident of New Kensington since moving from Natrona Heights in 1971. Mr. Babinsack was a Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam War and worked as a senior technician for ALCOA Technical Center in Upper Burrell for 28 years. He was a member of St. Januarius Catholic Church, Renton, as well as the Lower Burrell American Legion #868; social member of VFW Post 92, and both the ALCOA Golfing Club and Bowling League. He was an avid fan of the Steelers, Penguins, Pirates, and PGA golf. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and also enjoyed golfing, playing cards, going to the casino, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Kathleen E. Bosak Babinsack; two children, Todd Allen Babinsack of New Kensington and Vicki (Clinton) Shultz of Orlinda, TN; ten grandchildren, Douglas Jr., Rashell, Jay, Luke, Zachary, Jacob, Helen, Emma (Hunter), Abigail, and Lauren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Jane Crocker of Franklin Township. and brother, Ed (Mary) Motosicky of Upper Burrell. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Clement Motosicky; son, Douglas Neal Babinsack; great-grandchild, Douglas Babinsack, III; and sister, Sharlene Alcorn. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, at THE RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road, at Alder St., Additional visitation from noon until time of funeral service at 1 p.m., Saturday. Burial with military honors by the Navy will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. The American Legion 868 will conduct a service at 3 p.m., Friday, in the funeral home.
