James P. "Jimbo" Gustafson, 58, of Mount Pleasant, died on Friday, Mar. 29, 2024, in UPMC Montefiore Hospital. He was born on April 23, 1965, in Mount Pleasant, the son of Pearl Biller Jakubovic of Mount Pleasant and the late James Gustafson. Jimbo worked at the Schlegel Co., landscaping and mowing grass. He was a member of the Assunta Club, the Kosciuszko Club, the Polish Falcons Club, and the Mount Pleasant Slovak Club. Jimbo enjoyed his Harley and rooting for anybody but the Steelers, but most of all he loved spending time with his three loving grandchildren, whom he loved very much. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his stepmother, Alma Gustafson of Virginia; daughter, Crystal (Shawn) Cox of Mount Pleasant; brothers, Michael (Autumn) Gustafson of Connellsville, PA. and Mark Gustafson (Leah) Of Mount Pleasant; sister, Stephanie (Daniel) Mann of Mechanicsville, Virginia; his grandchildren, Ben and Nathan Cox and Stormy Gustafson of Mount Pleasant. He is also survived by his godmother, Fran Biller of Mount Pleasant; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a son, Alex Gustafson; stepfather, Ron "Jake" Jakubovic; and nephew, J.R. Gustafson.
