Carole A. Wygonik, 82, of Lower Burrell died Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Family Hospice at Canterbury Place, Pittsburgh. She was born in New Kensington on Sept. 29, 1941, to the late Martin and Adella Malik Kuminski and has been a life long resident of the local area. Mrs. Wygonik was a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic, Lower Burrell and grew up a member of St. Mary of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington. She worked as an administrative assistant for ALCOA as well as Central Office Products. She enjoyed taking care of her home, cooking, baking, spending time with family, traveling, taking cruises with her late husband, holidays with her family, and always made a point to remember and acknowledge everyone's birthdays. She is survived by her three children, David (Cynthia) Wygonik of Greensburg, Deborah (Kevin) Beer of Allegheny Twp., Steven (Linda) Wygonik of Wading River, NY.; eight grandchildren, Elyssa Beer, Megan (Dan) Barson, Eva Wygonik, Michael Wygonik, Amanda Wygonik, Elizabeth Wygonik; and twins, Christina and Christopher Wygoni; and nieces, Marlene (Daniel) Trestan Haslett and Patti (Bill) Trestan Hawk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard M. Wygonik; and sister, Dolores Trestan. Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at THE RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Rd., at Alder St., where Prayers of Transfer will be said Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by Christian Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of Czestochowa Church.
