Dorothy (Darinka) Bronkaj, 91, of New Kensington, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot. She was born Oct. 4, 1932, in Pittsburgh to the late Dusan and Ruza (Janjanin) Mamula. Dorothy lived a majority of her life in Pittsburgh, 25 years, in Strongsville, OH, 20 years, in West Mifflin and the past 11 years, in New Kensington. She was a homemaker and member of Sts Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Tarentum and Serbian National Federation, Pittsburgh. Dorothy graduated from South High School and enjoyed cooking, music and card playing, especially with her neighbors. Survivors include her son, Andrew N. (Carolyn A.) Bronkaj, of New Kensington; granddaughter, Alexa L. Bronkaj, of New Kensington. Also surviving is her brother, Dusan (Ruth) Mamula, of Bethel Park; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward T. Bronkaj in 2014; and her siblings, Milan, George, Milica and Rade.
