Karen S. (Shoemaker) Malinoski, 68, of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2024, at her home. She was born September 16, 1955, in Natrona Heights to the late Harry H. and Louise C. (Helgert) Shoemaker. Karen was a 1974 graduate of Highlands High School. Karen retired from the Tribune Review with life-long friendships. Karen was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer in July 2020. Karen's strength was admirable! If she was experiencing pain, she would never admit it. Nothing would stop her from making memories, especially with her grandchildren. She enjoyed baking, family beach vacations, going for drives through the park, and celebrating the holidays with her family. Karen is survived by her daughter, Kasha Cambal, of Natrona Heights; grandchildren, Kassidy and Kiersten Cambal, Christian and Niko Pearson, brothers, Kent L. (Josie) Shoemaker, of Mars, Clark R (Robin) Shoemaker, of Natrona Heights, Jay K. (Rose) Shoemaker, of Natrona Heights and Barry (Janet) Shoemaker, of Marienville, and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Randolph "Randy" Malinoski, on September 25, 2022; daughter, Brandi L. Malinoski on February 11, 2024; brothers; Harry, Tom and Allen Shoemaker and by her sister, Janet Beresik. Friends will be received on Monday from 6-8 p.m. in the CINCHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME, INC, 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights, 724-22-48688, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 12 noon. Officiating will be Pastor Nick Chybrzynski. Burial will follow in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Karen may be made to the American Cancer Society.
