Frank F. Conte, 89, of Cranberry Township, formerly of Greensburg, PA, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born August 7, 1934, in Pittsburgh, PA, son of the late Frank and Linda Conte. Frank graduated from Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School (1952). He then attended the University of Notre Dame (1956), earning a degree in Chemical Engineering. He was a Midshipman in the Navy ROTC program and served three years as an officer in the U.S. Navy upon graduation. After his service, he moved to Detroit, MI to work for Wyandotte Chemical and met the love of his life, Mary Ann Michel, in 1960. After their wedding in August of 1961, they moved to the Pittsburgh area where he attended the University of Pittsburgh and received his MBA. In 1970, Frank and Mary Ann moved to Greensburg, PA where they raised their six children. He spent the majority of his career in HVAC Commercial Contracting. Frank was an avid golfer, continuous learner and proud of his Pittsburgh roots. He was a dedicated Notre Dame football fan, traveling often to attend games. He was always an active member of his home parish, serving as lector and RCIA instructor. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Linda Conte; his wife of 60 years, Mary Ann; his son, Frank; his brother, Bob; his sister-in-law, Jean; and several other extended family members. Frank is survived by his five loving daughters: Theresa Becht (Don), Ann Krizmanich (Mike), Kathy Prokopius (Mark), Mary Ellen Ault (Nick), and Sue De Angel (Miguel); 11 grandchildren: Laura (Zach), Kristin (Connor), Kaitlin, Alison, Kelly, Erin, Megan (Josh), Kara, Anthony, Miguel and Rafael; two great-grandchildren: Amber and Jackson; his beloved sister, Angela Conte; his brother, James Conte (Katie); and many nieces, nephews and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at St. Ferdinand Church (Divine Grace Parish), 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township, Friday, April 19, from 10:15 a.m. to 11 a.m. Frank's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in the Church. A private interment will follow at a later date at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery in Tarentum.
