George P. Bodnar III, 81, of North Huntingdon, died peacefully Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024, at home. He was born Jan. 30, 1943, in McKeesport, a son of the late George and Ann (Kormanik) Bodnar Jr. George worked as an airplane mechanic for TWA/American Airlines. He was a graduate of PIA and a member of TWU and IAM. In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his wife, Jude (Kudrik) Bodnar. Surviving are his son, Joseph G. Bodnar, of North Huntingdon; brother, Mike A. (Beth) Bodnar, of North Carolina; sister, Joanne Marie (Tim) Kadrmas, of North Dakota; two nephews, Michael (Hollie) Drear and Nick (Sara) Bodnar; and niece, Megan (Matthew) Sullivan. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2024, at LINDSAY-JOBE FUNERAL HOME INC., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, where a funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024.
