Myron Z. Hay, 95, of Youngwood, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024. He was born on January 13, 1929, in Youngwood, the son of the late Walter and Catherine (Zimmerman) Hay. Myron was a proud Navy Veteran, having served during WWII. Prior to retirement, he worked for Braun Bakery as a driver and salesman. He was a life member and past commander of the VFW Post 211 in Youngwood, a life member of the American Legion #981 in South Greensburg, a member of the former Youngwood Lancers Drum & Bugle Corps, the Robertshaw Acres Golf Club and the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Youngwood. Myron always enjoyed his vacations in Myrtle Beach with his family and friends. He also worked part-time for the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. Myron will be loved and remembered by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving children, Charles W. Hay, and wife Tammy, of Dickerson Run, Myron S. Hay, and wife, Lori, of Greensburg, and Sandra H. Koluder, of Youngwood; his son-in-law, John A. Koluder, of Youngwood; his eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Ruth Peffer and Nan Snyder, both of Greensburg. In addition to his parents, Myron was preceded in death by his loving wife, Frances (Pahel) Hay; daughter, Jaqueline Hopper; his son Robert Hay; his brother, Walter Hay Jr. and his sister Natlie Dwire. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, July 5, from 2-7 p.m., with a service to follow, in the C. RICHARD MCCAULEY FUNERAL HOME INC., 101 S 4th Street, Youngwood. Interment will be held on Wednesday, July 10 at 11 a.m., in the Youngwood Cemetery, with military rites accorded by the Armbrust Veterans Assoc.
