An inmate at SCI Laurel Highlands died on Saturday.

Richard Lundberg, 39, of Somerset died after being transported from the prison to a hospital, according to the Allegheny County medical examiner’s office.

He was found “lethargic,” the medical examiner’s office said.

An official cause of death was not immediately released, but Pennsylvania Department of Corrections spokesperson Ryan Tarkowski said Lundberg died “from natural causes” at 9:29 a.m. on June 3.

Lundberg was serving a sentence of three years and six months to 10 years for sexual abuse of children - possession of child pornography, Tarkowski said. He arrived at SCI Laurel Highlands on Sept. 4, 2018.
