Sam Antonio Valore, 90, of Canton, GA, passed away on May 12, 2024, after a brief illness. Sam was born on May 2, 1934, in Condro, Sicily, to Salvatore Valore and Flavia Colagio and was raised in Herminie, PA, east of Pittsburgh. After Sam graduated from Sewickley Township High School in 1953, he entered the U.S. Army and served in active duty, where he trained in electronics and communication systems. He was transferred to the National Guard and continued higher education at Penn Technical Institute. After leaving military service, Sam worked for the Burroughs Corporation in Military Field Service Electronics, beginning a long career working in computers and electronics. He also worked for Ampex Corporation, Tandem, and Atlantic Science and Technology Corporation. In 1960, Sam married Ruth Isabelle Lewis at the Irwin Assembly of God Church. Sam and Ruth had two children, Beverly Thewlis (Duane) and Mark Valore (Donna). There are two grandchildren, Elaina Valore and Jeremy Valore. In 2000, Sam retired and spent his time playing cards, traveling, and visiting his family. Sam was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ruth in 2014; and his mother and father. He is survived by his sister, Frances Lubinsky (Gerald); nieces, nephews, children, and grandchildren.
