George Robert Bell, 71, of Logans Ferry Heights, Plum Borough, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 2, 2024. He was born in Logans Ferry, Plum, on July 12, 1952, to the late Robert and Marie Hubert Bell. He graduated from Plum High School in 1970, and was a Logans Ferry resident his entire life. A steel worker for over 25 years, Mr. Bell was a furnace heater operator for Allegheny Ludlum, Brackenridge, retiring in 2017. George was a volunteer firefighter with the Logans Ferry Fire Department, a social member of the V.F.W. in Lower Burrell, and a longtime member of the Logans Ferry Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, hunting, boating, and gambling. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Surviving are his loving wife of many years, Deborah Lynn Brenner Bell; adoring children, Jayson Robert Bell, Lynda Veronica Schiller (Brian), and Tami Mae Bell; and beloved grandchildren, Abbygail, Chelsey, Julee, Ryan, and Madisyn. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a service will be held on at 10 a.m., Friday, by Rev. Dean Ward. The Logans Ferry Firemen will assemble in the funeral home at 7 p.m., Thursday, to pay tribute to their late member. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
