Marian J. Kitta, 89, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024, at Independence Health System-Frick Hospital. Mrs. Kitta was born Nov. 17, 1934, in Central to the late Charles and Anna Malinar Beranek. Marian was a graduate of East Huntingdon High School class of 1952. She was an active member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church and the former Transfiguration Parish Church. Marian was a Eucharistic minister, a member of the Ministry of Consolation, member of the St. Pius Kitchen Crew, and would help with numerous church functions. She enjoyed mowing grass with her riding mower, going to Saturday dinners with her friends, the monthly church breakfast club, playing Mrs. Claus for many years, and going to the casino with her family and friends. Marian was a kind and sweet lady who will be missed by everyone, especially by her family. Marian is survived by her loving family, her children, Joseph C. Kitta (Karen Sue), Michael J. Kitta (Angel), Mark R. Kitta (Kim), Susan J. Kitta (Patty), and Amy Keefer (Chuck); her grandchildren, Nick Kitta (Jamie), Michelle Valone (Jason), Daniel Kitta, and Alexandra Kitta (Frank); her great-grandchildren, Gage and Isabella Valone, and Brayden and Brinley Kitta; and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Joseph M. 'Ben' Kitta in 2012; and her siblings, Edward Beranek, Robert Beranek (Betty), and Elsie Hapchuk (John). Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at GALONE-CARUSO FUNERAL HOME INC., Mt. Pleasant. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m. followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church.
