We're thrilled to celebrate the incredible 100th birthday of Fran Steve, a beloved resident of Juniper Village at Monroeville for the past seven years. Fran grew up in Wilkinsburg and later moved to Penn Hills after marrying the love of her life, Paul. The couple met while working at Westinghouse- Fran as a secretary-and their romance blossomed over lunch breaks filled with dancing. Their shared love of music led them to many joyful evenings of square dancing and melodies that filled their home. Fran and Paul were married on May 6, 1950, and shared an inspiring 70 years together. Music was always part of their lives, and Fran's children fondly remember a home where there was always a tune playing. Fran is the proud mother of seven children, grandmother to 19, and great-grandmother to 25! Her family is a testament to the love and warmth she's shared over the years. Here at Juniper Village, Fran continues to inspire us. She walks regularly throughout the community and credits staying active as her secret to longevity.
