About
Early Learning Centers...The First Step in a Lifetime of Learning
When children are involved with a YMCA Early Learning Center, they leave ready
for Kindergarten.
Our Y's early learning programs are operated on an experiential learning philosophy: children learn while doing. Daily lessons, based on a nationally recognized and creative curriculum, are created to boost development through age-appropriate activities, and stimulating hands-on experiences, with a balance of teacher directed versus child directed play. Quiet time is included every day, along with breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack (at no additional charge). Meals are provided under the Child and Adult Care Food Program.
All Early Learning Centers are fully certified by the Department of Public Welfare and the Commonwealth of PA. Our qualified and well-trained staff provide safe, affordable, high-quality care so you can have peace of mind while you work to help your family succeed. The Y's Early Learning Centers provides Infant, Toddler and Pre-School programs for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years and entering Kindergarten so that you can have peace of mind while you are at work.
As an added benefit, all children enrolled full-time receive a complimentary Youth Membership to the Y while enrolled. And if you are registering multiple children, you'll receive a 10% sibling discount. (The discount will be taken off of the lowest priced program). These are just more reasons why your child(ren) should be at the Y!
