The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board’s next round of lottery drawings for more than 3,900 specialty bottles will take place next week.

Registration will be open through 5 p.m. on Friday. The lottery is only open to Pennsylvania residents and liquor-license holders. Winners will have a chance to purchase limited-release bourbon and whiskey varieties.

The largest quantities will be of Stagg Straight Bourbon Barrel Proof (2,038 bottles), followed by Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel Straight Bourbon (576 bottles) and W.L. Weller Full Proof Straight Bourbon (360 bottles).

The big-ticket items will be a single bottle of Van Winkle Special Reserve Straight Bourbon, aged for 12 years, and two bottles of Old Rip Van Winkle Handmade Straight Bourbon, aged for 10 years.

Other lotteries will include between 90 and 246 bottles of items including Caribou Crossing Single Barrel Canadian Whisky, W.L. Weller CYPB Straight Bourbon, Parker’s Heritage Collection Straight Whiskey Double Barreled Blend, Col. E.H. Taylor Jr. Straight Bourbon Barrel Proof and Col. E.H. Taylor Jr. Straight Rye Whiskey Bottled-in-Bond.

There is a limit of one bottle per winner, per purchase. A winner selected in one drawing will be removed from all subsequent drawings. Winners can purchase and pick up their bottles in designated stores after presenting a valid photo identification.

In recent years, demand for the rare liquors has driven some to bend and break the rules in order to get a bottle.

Registration can be completed at FineWineAndGoodSpirits.com.
