The Savannah Bananas are bringing their unique brand of baseball to Pittsburgh next summer.

PNC Park will host a pair of games between the Bananas and Texas Tailgaters on Aug. 29-30, 2025.

The Bananas announced their Banana Ball World Tour City Draft on Thursday night, listing a 2025 schedule that will visit several Major League Baseball stadiums, a college football stadium and two NFL stadiums.

The Bananas played in 29 cities in front of more than a million fans in 2024, selling out stadiums around the country.

Clemson’s Memorial Stadium, which seats 81,500 fans, and Tennessee’s Nissan Stadium, home of the NFL’s Titans, and Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium, where the NFL’s Carolina Panthers play, will host Bananas games, which include a blend of baseball and entertainment similar to the basketball world’s Harlem Globetrotters.

Their mix of trick plays in the field, music, dancing, costumes, celebrations and hijinks throughout the game have entertained large crowds with what they call “the fastest and most entertaining game of baseball.”

“These will be some of the biggest crowds in baseball history to see Banana Ball,” team owner Jesse Cole told The Associated Press.

In addition to their trip to PNC Park, the Bananas will play in MLB stadiums in Miami (IoanDepot Park), Tampa Bay (Tropicana Field), St. Louis (Busch Stadium), Anaheim (Angel Stadium), Kansas City (Kauffman Stadium), Cincinnati (Great American Ball Park), Washington, D.C. (Nationals Park), Boston (Fenway Park), Philadelphia (Citizens Bank Park), Baltimore (Camden Yards), Denver (Coors Field), Chicago (Guaranteed Rate Field), San Diego (Petco Park), New York (Yankee Stadium), Seattle (T-Mobile Park), Houston (Minute Maid Park) and Atlanta (Truist Park).

Since a full-sized baseball field does not fit in the tighter confines of a football stadium, especially at the home of the Clemson Tigers, the Bananas plan to install netting at least 50 feet high to make it a bit tougher to hit one out in the shortest portion of the outfield.

“We’re beyond excited to welcome the Savannah Bananas to our iconic PNC Park in 2025,” said Jerad Bachar, President & CEO of VisitPITTSBURGH. “This is a unique opportunity to showcase our city, our championship sports culture, and our world-class hospitality to a whole new audience. The Bananas’ show-stopping performances are a perfect match for Pittsburgh’s enthusiasm and energy, and we can’t wait to fill the stands.”
