A major fire early Tuesday morning caused significant damage to the Latrobe 30 Shoppes along Route 30 in Unity Township.
The blaze was reported around 3:15 a.m., according to a Westmoreland County 911 dispatcher.
The fire involved multiple businesses, the dispatcher said. It was not immediately clear which businesses were damaged.
Lloydsville Fire Chief Brian Schultheis said the fire started in the exterior of one store and spread along the canopy and to the fronts of seven other stores.

He said two storefronts were destroyed and six others sustained smoke and water damage.
The fire started outside the Roadman Country Store and involved about 250 feet of storefront.
A state police fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze, Schultheis said.
The plaza includes a Dollar General, Dunham’s Sports, Goodwill and Tractor Supply Co., as well as several restaurants and a movie theater.
No injuries were reported.
The property is owned by ABC Properties of new York City, according to Ralph Scalise, owner of Scalise Real Estate Co. of Latrobe, who manages the property.
