Robert D. Dreistadt, 85, of Greensburg, died Friday, Aug. 23, 2024, at Oak Hill Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born Oct. 17, 1938, in Penn, a son of the late Nicholas and Sophia (Hoak) Dreistadt. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Georgenne Dreistadt; a daughter, Susan Lehosky; and siblings, Lenoard, Nicholas (Bud), Henry and Ruth Reidmiller. Prior to retirement he worked as a Millwright at ASG Glass. Robert was a member of Trinity Community Methodist Church and loved to bowl. He is survived by his children, Robert and Sherry Dreistadt of Stafford, VA, Sharon Kidd and William of Greensburg, and Richard Dreistadt of Jeannette; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren with one on the way; ex wife, Helen of Jeannette; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 29, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette. A funeral service will be held on Friday at the funeral home at Noon with Rev Tammy Falscik. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
