A Smithton man died early Monday morning following a two-vehicle collision along Route 981 in South Huntingdon.
Steven J. Fryman, 30, collided head-on with a tractor trailer around 4:40 a.m., said Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Kalee Barnhart.
The crash occurred near the 1000 block of Route 981, according to a Westmoreland County dispatcher. Following the crash, Route 981 was closed from Mendon Road to the area of the crash, Barnhart said.
Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson was called to the scene. State police are investigating.
